STK’s Astrogator capability provides multiple ways to model an interplanetary mission, in this case an approach to Mars. This class and the class on September 28 will teach you two methods and then compare the results. The analysis will be based on an actual mission that took place in December, 1996: the Mars Pathfinder. In this class, you will analyze a transfer arc between Earth and Mars using STK’s Lambert Solver. This initial model will provide a good solution to the main goal.
