Event Name: L3: Determine a GPS Satellite Eclipse Period
Location: Online
Date(s): Jun-15
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
This class will walk you through how to use STK's Analysis Workbench capability, including the Vector Geometry Tool (VGT) and Calculation Tool, to determine when a Global Positioning System (GPS) satellite is in an eclipse season. You will learn how to model the angle between the orbital plane of a GPS satellite and the Earth-Sun vector, or beta angle, to determine when a given orbital plane is entering or has entered an eclipse season.
Upon completion of this class, you will know how to:
- Create, define, and display vectors, orbital planes, and angles using Vector Geometry Tool
- Create a new Scalar Calculation and define conditions
- Generate and analyze reports based on conditions set
Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.
