This class will teach you how to use STK to model a large constellation of satellites using the Satellite Collection object and SP3 files. You will use STK's coverage capability to determine the dilution of precision over the Continental US for a specific time period.

Upon completion of this class, you will learn how to:

  • Use SP3 files to create one Satellite Collection object containing multiple GPS satellites
  • Use the selected GPS satellites to perform GDOP coverage over the Continental US
  • Determine the minimum and maximum GDOP values
  • Visualize GDOP in both the 2D and 3D graphics windows

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this focused STK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.

Comments:

This lesson requires STK 12.7 to complete because it includes new features introduced in STK 12.7. If you wish to follow along with the instructor and are unable to upgrade STK to 12.7 on your computer before this class, you can use STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK. There is nothing to download in advanced with STK Cloud. It does not require a license or software install. If you would like to use STK Cloud, please select that option when registering and use the link provided in your confirmation email the day of the class to access STK Cloud. To use STK Cloud, you will need the following:
