Event Name: L2: **Updated in STK 12.9** Ground based SSA with EOIR
Location: Online
Date(s): Nov-5
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
Learn how STK can help you model and simulate detection, tracking, and imaging performance of electro-optical and infrared sensors. In this class, you will use STK's Aviator capability to design a cross country flight route. In this class, you will track a polar satellite that is in low Earth orbit (LEO) from an observatory in Hawaii. You will use STK's Electro-Optical Infrared Sensor Performance (EOIR) capability to model and simulate the Maui Space Surveillance Complex (MSSC) 1.6 meter (m) telescope taking cloud cover, temperature, emissivity, and radiance into consideration for you analysis.
Upon completion of class, you will understand how to:
- Configure Sensor objects to use the EOIR type
- Create an EOIR sensor scene
- View data in the EOIR Scene Visual Details dialog box
- Create a custom EOIR signal-to-noise (SNR) graph
Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this focused STK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions live.
Comments:
This lesson has been updated with STK 12.9. If you want to follow along with the instructor, it will require you to use STK 12.9. If you are unable to upgrade STK to 12.9 before this class, you can use STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK. There is nothing to download in advance with STK Cloud. It does not require a license or software install. If you would like to use STK Cloud, please select that option when registering and use the link provided in your confirmation email the day of the class to access STK Cloud. To use STK Cloud, you will need the following:
- An agi.com account
- HTML5-capable browser (IE is not recommended)
- Fast, stable Internet connection that allows web-socket connections - test your connection here
