Event Name: L2: Using Terrain, Chains, and Constellations.
Location: Online
Date(s): Mar-20
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
Engineers and operators require a quick way to determine if local terrain is affecting visibility between ground sites and satellites. Visibility can affect communications, imaging, and general situational awareness. In this class, you will learn how to load a DEM file into STK to analyze the impact of local terrain on accesses between a ground station and GPS satellites.

Upon completion of this training class, you will be able to:
  • Use terrain data for analysis and visualization
  • Build a Constellation object
  • Build a Chain object
  • Create a color elevation image
  • Convert a raw satellite image and use it as an inlay for visualization and situational awareness

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this advanced STK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.

Comments:

You can use STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK, to follow along with the instructor for this class. There is nothing to download in advance with STK Cloud. It does not require a license or software install.
