Event Name: L3: Using STK's Astrogator capability and ODTK together
Location: Online
Date(s): Dec-9
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
This class will teach you how to make the STK software's Astrogator capability and the Ansys Orbit Determination Tool Kit (ODTK) work together. You will use the STK/AstrogatorĀ® capability to plan a nominal trajectory. Then you will use the ODTK orbital measurement processing software to understand the current state of the satellite from available tracking data. Passing data back and forth between STK and ODTK, your goal is to recompute the maneuvers needed for a successful Hohmann transfer into your targeted geostationary orbit (GEO) and analyze the results of the planned maneuvers. Upon completion of this class you will be able to:
- Create flight dynamics records in the ODTK application
- Share propagators and flight dynamics records between the STK and ODTK applications
- Create and use acceleration history files
Engineers will be on hand to answer your questions live.
Comments:
You can follow along using STK Desktop or STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK. With STK Cloud there is nothing to download in advance. It does not require a license or software install. To use STK Cloud, you will need the following:
- an agi.com account
- HTML5-capable browser (IE is not recommended)
- Fast, stable Internet connection that allows web-socket connections - test your connection here
