Event Name: L3: DME Part 3: Building a digital twin of a satellite with STK SOLIS
Location: Online
Date(s): Dec-10
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
The future of satellite design is “e-satellites” — spacecraft that are designed entirely in virtual environments using computer generated models. Digital design will dramatically reduce the cost and time of delivering new satellites. This class will walk you through the process of evaluating mission requirements and translating them into spacecraft design requirements in Systems Tool Kit (STK) and the STK SOLIS add-on module. You will create a digital twin prototype of a satellite and explore its capabilities in the preliminary design phase to meet mission and system requirements.
Comments:
This class will be taught using STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK. With STK Cloud there is nothing to download in advance. It does not require a license or software install. If you would like to follow along with the instructor, use the link provided in your confirmation email the day of the class to access STK Cloud. To use STK Cloud, you will need the following:
  • an agi.com account
  • HTML5-capable browser (IE is not recommended)
  • Fast, stable Internet connection that allows web-socket connections - test your connection here
