Event Name: L3: **New in STK 12.2** - Using CommSystem Object Link Definitions
Location: Online
Date(s): Apr-29
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:

This virtual training is part of our “STK 12.2 New Features” Virtual Training Series.

When modeling communications system links, you may want to select a transmitter based on terrain, transmit power, or other conditions instead of geometry. In previous versions of STK, you could only select a link based on simple geometry. With STK 12.2, you can select links based on an RF metric. This lesson will teach you how to model and analyze a link budget and use antenna patterns to analyze satellite transmitters and ground site receivers.

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this focused STK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.

Comments:

This lesson requires STK 12.2 to complete because it includes new features introduced in STK 12.2. If you are unable to upgrade STK to 12.2 before this class, you can use STK Cloud, a web-based version of STK. There is nothing to download in advanced with STK Cloud. It does not require a license or software install. If you would like to use STK Cloud, please select that option when registering and use the link provided in your confirmation email the day of the class to access STK Cloud. To use STK Cloud, you will need the following:

  • An agi.com account
  • HTML5-capable browser (IE is not recommended)
  • Fast, stable Internet connection that allows web-socket connections - test your connection here
