Event Name: L3: **New Lesson** Modeling Lunar Rover Navigation with ODTK
Location: Online
Date(s): Dec-13
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:
This training class will introduce you to the brand new Surface Vehicle Object in Orbit Determination Toolkit (ODTK). You will learn how to use the Surface Vehicle Object and apply it to understand the navigation of a sample lunar rover. We will build a navigation system using the Deep Space Network (DSN), a sample constellation of lunar navigation satellites, and a sample lunar rover trajectory. In a short amount of time you will perform incredibly powerful analysis that allows you to predict the level of accuracy you can achieve with your operational navigation systems.

In this class you will learn how to::
  • Define and model simple surface vehicles in ODTK
  • Simulate navigation measurements from both ground based and space based sensors
  • Determine simulated position and velocity knowledge for satellites and surface vehicles
  • Export ODTK analysis to STK for visualization and contextual understanding

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this advanced STK and ODTK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.

Comments:
The new Surface Vehicle Object was introduced in ODTK 7.5. You will need to use STK 12.5 and ODTK 7.5 to follow along with this class. You can either use STK Cloud or install both STK and ODTK locally. If you do not already have them installed, you can download and install both STK Premium and ODTK from https://support.agi.com/downloads/4/. You will receive a license file, valid for 14 days, when you register for the class. To use STK Cloud, check the box during registration to receive the link. STK Cloud provides browser-based access to STK from any computer with internet access. It does not require you to install or license STK on your local computer. Please contact support@agi.com with any questions.
