Event Name: L2: **New lesson** Comm Part 4: Intro to Terrain Integrated Rough Earth Model
Location: Online
Date(s): Feb-16
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:

Learn how to simulate very high frequency (VHF) communications along a proposed flight route for mission planning. Your flight route will require switching communications between three airport towers. Part of the flight route will require you to fly at a low above ground level (AGL) altitude in mountainous terrain. You will learn how to model low altitude communications in mountainous terrain using the Terrain Integrated Rough Earth Model (TIREM). You will evaluate when and where along the flight route you can expect to receive communications from the control towers. Upon completion, you will understand:

  • How to use TIREM

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this STK lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions live.
