Event Name: L3: Coverage Trade Study in Mountainous Terrain
Location: Online
Date(s): Jun-8
Time: 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m. (ET)
Price: Free
Description:

This class will walk you through setting up a design of experiments trade study using STK's Analyzer and Coverage capabilities. You will analyze the coverage of four ranger stations used to perform visual observations of the most direct route to the summit of Mount St. Helens. You will perform a coverage analysis of the exercise area using all possible combinations of two of the four different station locations. The goal is to determine which two observation posts, together, have the best percentage coverage along the hiking trail.
Upon completion of this class, you will know how to:
  • Use the coverage definition object to define a coverage area for analysis
  • Set up a coverage grid, coverage assets, and coverage interval
  • Use the Coverage Figure of Merit object to analyze results

Follow along on your computer as an instructor walks you through this lesson. AGI engineers will be available during the session to answer your questions, live.

Comments:

If you want to follow along hands on with the instructor, you will need to have STK and STK Analyzer installed on your computer. Please make sure these are installed prior to class beginning. We will also have STK Cloud — a web-based version of STK — available to use for the class if you do not have access to STK or do not have Windows. Please select this option during registration if you wish to use STK Cloud to follow along during the class.
